AVSS Wire

AVSS Wire is used in Body Control Module (BCM) for ancillary circuits such as power windows, door lock actuators, wiper motors, seat adjustments (basic version), and air conditioning blowers. It is also the preferred choice of instrument sensor signal lines such as fuel level sensors, temperature sensors, vehicle speed sensors and door switch signal transmissions. The signal circuits are low-voltage circuits with strict weight and flexibility requirements. AVSS Wire's fine diameter design contributes to vehicle lightweighting by reducing the overall weight of wiring harness. AVSS wire is in common usage for the wiring harness behind the dashboard and inside of the doors of hybrid or conventional gasoline vehicles for long term stable mechanical and electrical performance.

In addition to passenger cars, AVSS wire is also used in agricultural machinery, construction machinery and outboard motors. The AVSS wire is used for wiring in electrical systems of tractors or excavators for control of lights, instruments and low voltage actuators. AVSS wire is weatherproof and flexible to withstand the rigors of outdoor use including high temperatures, dust and vibration. Some ships or railway vehicles use similar specifications for the auxiliary low voltage circuit to ensure reliable electrical connections.
